One of the Midwest’s most-acclaimed half marathons, the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k take place in Peninsula State Park. Run along the shore, atop bluffs, and through the woods on a closed, road course. More than 2,700 runners make this one of the largest endurance events in Door County!
This is a rare opportunity to see the inner workings of the area’s largest and best-known shipyards. Tour Bay Shipbuilding, Palmer Johnson Yachts and Great Lakes Yacht Services, which are open to the public just this one day each year!

Wisconsin’s oldest fiber event and sale, the 2015 Door County Shepherds’ Market. The Market is held to promote products from locally raised sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas, and to educate the public about our animals, the fibers they produce and the traditional handcrafts and fiber arts that utilize these locally grown fibers.
This year marks the 21st Annual Fiber and Art-To-Wear Sale, featuring fleeces, yarns, rovings, unique knit, woven and felted products and wearable art, spinning and weaving equipment, fair trade baskets, and other related fiber accessories from local artists.

Mark your calendars to join the viewing of the Parade of Scots led by Clan Donald Pipe and Drum Corps on Saturday, May 16th around the Baileys Harbor Town Square. In the past 13 years this gathering of Scottie devotees around North America has raised and donated over $114,000.00 to support Scottish Terrier health related research and Scottie Rescue.
